Bockfest 2016 on February 6th, 2016

Price per person this year is $40. This can be mailed in or you can pay online to the right of this post. Just be aware there are no refunds. I do allow you to transfer tickets and in the event of a sold out event, I will sell your extra to others if possible and then refund to you. Just let me know.

Breakfast runs from 7:30 until 9, then buses leave shortly after. They do have pop included and a full cash bar. You are certainly welcome to bring a small cooler on the bus. You will ride same bus to and from so you can leave it on bus during Bockfest. Please do not leave valuables though because items are left at your own risk.

Bockfest ends at 4:30 and the buses will leave at 5. It is YOUR responsibility to be there on time to not miss the ride.

Presale tickets are on sale January 21 at 10 am. You can get them at this site: http://schellsbrewery.com/events/02-bockfest/  $10 but there is a small fee attached.

Important Information

Timeline:
7:30 am to 8:45: Breakfast buffet is open. When you first arrive at the Pub500, find me so you can check in. I will be at table up near the buffet. We are all wearing bright blue “Team USA” t-shirts/jerseys. There you will get a sticker to wear that gets you breakfast and the bus ride. I don’t expect anyone to still be wearing them when we leave Bockfest thoughafter all, it is Bockfest.
8:50 to 8:59 am: Boarding of the buses takes place. Your sticker will have your bus number on it. Bus will have # on door.
9-9:15 am: We leave, with or without you, so be on time. We will arrive in New Ulm about 10ish and drop off at the Target parking lot where you get into line. Those with entry tickets usually have a shorter line.
10:30 or 11:00am: Gates open and let the Bockfest games begin.
4:30: Bockfest ends. Make your way back out to the Target parking lot to find your bus. Buses will leave at about 5pm. We will return to the Pub 500 at about 5:45pm, just in time for happy hour if you are still able.

Important things to keep in mind:
10- Park your cars in the parking ramp across from the 500. Also you cannot drink or open your own alcoholic beverages in the Pub 500. They will allow you to have your unopened cooler in there while we wait for the buses. The bar will be open for business if you did want a Bloody or a beer though.
9-Please make every attempt to keep buses cleanThis is why price went from $35 to $40 this year.
8- Dress up, have fun. No one will ever make fun of you. You will be surprised how many are.
7- Beers in the past have cost 3 tickets. It takes about 2 1/2 beers to fill a Bubba Keg. See tip #3.
6- Don't stop at the first Ticket Booth, there is another one farther up with no one there. Lately, they have been selling a $20 pack of beer/food tickets at the gate area. It is much faster. So, have a twenty at the ready
5- Must be 21 to enter. Make sure you bring your ID
4- Post your photos online, you put @bockfestbusguy and @schellsbockfest to appear on the twitter feeds.
3- Buy a big mug, like the Bubba Keg. Don’t wait until that day to buy one.
2- Cash, have it before we leave. Unless something changes, there is one atm at Bockfest
1- RULE NUMBER ONE- DO NOT BE LATE! The bus WILL pull out at 9am on the button and return at 5pm. We will not wait for anyone for any reason. The lines will be long enough as it is.

Have fun, stay warm, take pictures, and enjoy the best beer festival in Minnesota

BOCK BEER!!

Each year the promise of spring was confirmed as the first keg of Schell's Bock rolled onto waiting delivery wagons. And since 1860, Schell's Bock has continued in the true German tradition. Completely reformulated for 2009, Schell's Bock has replaced Caramel Bock as our late winter seasonal. Brewed with a harmonious blend of 10 different types of malt and noble hops, Schell's Bock is fermented slowly, and then lagered for an extended period of time to ensure a smooth finish. Perfect for passing even the coldest winter day.

This dark amber colored beer sports a robust malt character.

Beer Style: Bock

Alcohol by Volume: 6.1%

Characteristics: Dark amber color, robust malt character.

Available: January-February
